The staff were efficient and friendly. I stayed for one night and had breakfast at a Michelin-starred restaurant. the food was delicious and there were plenty of choices.

The location was good for driving from Spain to UK, and there was ample parking. The gardens are very pleasant.
The room was very small, nowhere to sit except for a small wooden bench or the bed. I would have preferred a hook for our bathtowels to a gimmicky waterfall on the wall beside the bed! Breakfast menu was expensive so we gave it a miss.

The Michelin-starred restaurant served excellent food and wine. "the pool area was excellent, and the location was perfect and magnificent, really close to the pond and a park. "It was surrounded by spectacularly beautiful gardens.

Setting and landscape. Staff. Not over full. Not a complaint, but such a priced room as Chateau de ma Mere should have more room for clothes storage, even if most travellers are one-nighters. Two-nighters might expect a discount especially when hotel mostly empty. But we much enjoyed our stay, thanks to some extent the weather. Bathroom taps in the way of the basin. No loo brush.

Pleasant surroundings, possibility of gourmet food - though too pricey for us! Excellent staff.

The grounds are superb. The hotel itself is clean and the staff were excellent and cheerful. No twin bedded room was available and the bed was very small. The towels were small, there was no face flannel, no lavatory brush, no bath gel/shampoo, an unstocked mini bar, no English speaking tv channels as advertised. The food was terrible - the fish (monk fish) was bad and smelled and the house wine was disgusting. The hotel does not merit the Michelin recommendation.

The hotel is efficiently run and generally in good decorative order - although some touching up might not go amiss! Very good food and charming staff.
By being convenient for the nearby motorway, there is an unfortunate level of traffic noise - can't have one without the other...

Being able to break our journey from Spain back to the UK in such a relaxing environment was real bonus. A swim in the pool was very welcome after a long drive. The staff were excellent - very helpful and spoke English.
The weather had turned very hot and a fan in the room would have made the temperature a little more comfortable. The water in the shower was only lukewarm at 7.30 in the morning.
